in Information...

“We are drowning in information, while starving for wisdom.” E. O. Wilson

“Too much information” is one of the main problems why we oftentimes can’t think straight. On the other hand, amassing a big amount of information can nowadays also mean power or even wealth. And someone “who knows a lot”, someone who has stored lots of information inside his or her brain – may it be trivial or not – is still looked up to. But knowing lots and being wise enough in knowing what to do with this information, are two completely different things.

Stepping away from it all, and even only for a small moment in time, helps you gain perspective, helps you put things in the right order and connect the dots. Maybe this is one of the most important things we need to learn.

Watch Jay Shetty in this short video make a compelling statement for looking at things from a higher vantage point.

Do not miss my blog-post titled Too much noise. If you like Jay Shetty’s Video, then I’m sure you will like my thoughts!
Also do take the time to read and re-read the wise words by Carl Sagan…
